Scope of Activities
The Association liaises regularly with the Union Ministries of Finance, Commerce and Civil Aviation, CBEC, CBDT, AERA, BCAS, AAI, Ground Handling agencies of airports, Export Promotion Council, IATA, FIATA, FAPAA, airlines, etc. in order to resolve issues of concern to it’s members, and to facilitate the smooth functioning of the industry.
Areas of The Association's Activities
ACAAI promotes the growth, development and professionalism of the air cargo industry in India. The Association provides a regular medium for dialogue with the members’ principals, the airlines, their customers, the exporters and importers, and various Government Departments and Authorities.
ACAAI maintains close contacts with world bodies related to the air cargo trade, and represents matters affecting our country’s air freight forwarding industry at various international fora. ACAAI gathers useful information about different aspects of the industry, and disseminates the same to it’s members through regular circulars and updates. ACAAI is an invited member of various Government Committees such as the Standing Committee on Promotion of Exports by Air (Scope Air), Air Cargo Logistics Promotion Board (ACLPB), Advisory Committees of the Indian Customs such as Trade Facilitation Committee (TFC), Cargo Facilitation Committees of the Airports Authority of India (CAFAC), amongst others.
Training
ACAAI conducts regular training programmes for it’s members in job-related subjects such as Basic Cargo, Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) and DGR Refresher to equip the employees to carry out their job functions professionally and competently.
